We play real football (Aussie Rules), training once or twice a week and competing in the junior EFL each Sunday from April to July. [What is the EFL?]
The EFL junior competitions are for "under 8" through to "under 16". [Which age group am I?]
We train at the Lewis Park Ovals, right next to Knox Shopping Center - look out for the red, blue and gold sign on Lewis Road [picture]! [Where is Lewis Park?]
Training nights are as follows:
  • U9 and U10: Wednesday 5:00pm-6:00pm
  • U13: Tuesday 4:30pm-6:00pm and Thursday 4:30pm-6:00pm
  • U15: Tuesday 5:30pm-7:00pm and Thursday 5:30pm-7:00pm
Match times on Sunday vary for each team [What times do each team play?] and we either play at our home ground (Lewis Park) or away. [Where are the away games played?]
Interested in trying it out? You don't need to have played before, auskick is not a pre-requisite. Come along to one of the training nights or game day matches - look for someone in a top like this: [picture] tell them you are really keen and want to give it a go! Alternatively call Ian on 0434 945 995.
We are growing the club this year and we are offering some very good membership deals, particularly for new members. [What are the ELJFC membership fees?]
By the way, every player in our club plays every week they want to. We do not use player rosters so we do not ask players to sit out for an entire game each week. This is achieved by limiting the size of our teams. The EFL permits oversized teams (up to 30) but the fact remains that only 24 players are allowed to be fielded each week. Our club policy is aligned with the lower limit - no more than 24 players per team on our membership register - this is our policy - you pay, you play. Many clubs don't do this so some players have to sit out each week. Why would you join a club that makes you do this? [What is rostered football?]
