Having played and defeated South Croydon 2 weeks ago, we hoped that our team would not go into the match too cocky and South Croydon could not muster a special effort. Thankfully, our hopes were realised - and the rain stopped before start of play, but the Donvale ground was saturated.
Kicked away well with a 4 goal to nil 1st quarter. Joel provided the inspiration with an early mark and first goal. The Bulldogs came back in the 2nd quarter and gave themselves some hope, kicking 2 goals to our 1.
3rd quarter like much of the 2nd was defensive although we managed to keep the scoreboard alive.
Late 4th quarter goals by Keiren and Jaycob were just reward for the hard work all day.
The win is a credit to the team and all should be proud of their efforts.
