Travelled to Eastside Park to play South Croydon at in cold wet muddy conditions. We kicked off well with the first goal of the match but South Croydon answered with three goals and managed to stay in front till well into the 3^rd quarter. Both sides played hard and muddy footy from the 2^nd quarter on, but the Lions determination gradually pegged back the score difference until mid 3^rd quarter. Then Max R kicked a great goal to take the lead by 3 points. That goal lifted team and the 3^rd quarter ended with us further in front courtesy of Jaycob who goaled after the siren. Covered in mud, cold and wet the team ground away to score a 27 point win.

We had our best players on the day (listed) but the whole team need to be congratulated for maintaining the determination and effort as conditions deteriorated and legs tired during the latter part of the game.
